COVID-19 Response

In response to the rapidly developing situation with COVID-19, as a measure, Spirit  & Fast Labour Solutions’ physical offices in Calgary will be temporarily closed effective immediately. As such, we have activated our emergency business continuity plan to ensure business operations remain as uninterrupted as possible.

In general, what this means for you:

  • All internal Spirit /Fast Labour Solutions staff will be working remotely from home; our staff will still have full access to emails and phones calls

  • Effective immediately, we will not be accepting walk-in/scheduled interviews, training, or other face-to-face business inquiries at this time and until further

  • All scheduled in-person safety training will be immediately canceled and/or postponed until further notice

 

We ask for your continued patience while we work to answer all calls and emails during this time.

CURRENT CONTRACTORS & EMPLOYEES OF SPIRIT /FAST LABOUR SOLUTIONS:

We know this is an extremely sensitive time for us all. We ask you to remain calm and know we are here to assist you.

 

Currently, we are advising all External Contractors/Employees, at the advice of government and health officials to:

  • Avoid all non-essential travel

  • Any contractor/employee who traveled anywhere out of Canada on or before March 12th, is required to self-isolate for a minimum of 14 days

  • Any contractor/employee who has been in close contact with someone displaying symptoms of the COVID-19 or whom has recently traveled anywhere out of Canada, is also asked to self-isolate for a minimum of 14 days

  • Anyone with cold or flu-like symptoms are expected to not to come to work and seek appropriate medical direction through Alberta Health Services at 811
    **These conditions are changing rapidly, so please continue to monitor the appropriate government websites for the most recent up-to-date information.

 

Other Updates:

 

Here at Spirit & Fast Labour Solutions, we are 110% committed to the health and safety of our personnel. We are continually monitoring the situation and following the advice of our public health and government officials. We understand that because the situation and new recommendations are constantly changing, you may have many questions that we are working diligently to have answers for.

 

Please know we are currently working closely with all Clients to understand their specific policies, expectations, plans, etc. and will be providing updates as they become available. We also know that this situation has caused a lot of uncertainty. Please know, we are currently seeking information from our Clients and will pass along such information as soon as it becomes available.

 

For the interim:

  • Please follow the instructions of your immediate manager/supervisor. If you have been advised to stay home and isolate, please follow their instructions and let us know immediately. advise if you’ve been approved to work from home.

    • If you’ve been asked to stay home, we recommend asking your manager/supervisor if working from home is an option

    • For those who are not authorized to work from home and have payroll-related inquiries, we are assessing assistance available and hope to be able to provide guidance in the coming days

  • Given the circumstances, we ask for your patience if your contract is currently set to be renewed or is expiring soon – we do not have any updates or guidance to provide at this time and will update you as soon we hear back

  • Additionally, if you are currently in the process of onboarding and scheduled to start a new assignment in the next couple weeks, we will touch base with you individually but ask if you have not heard from us, it is because we are still waiting on further instructions

 

We ask for your continued patience as we work to answer all calls and emails. Should you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Note that due to the volume of calls we are currently receiving, we will work to call each person back or alternatively, we encourage you to email so that our team may assist sooner.
